Speed Mentoring takes off with South Australia Uni

If you blinked you would have missed the inaugural Classroom Connections VET / TAFE Speed Mentoring event held in the Bradman Room at the Adelaide Oval.

The evening set a cracking pace and was a roaring success with 15 students and 15 work-related mentors rotating tables, sharing work experiences, asking career related questions and all in a 45 minute timeframe that reflects the fast pace of the 21st century business world.

Designed for the X and Y generations, feedback forms at the end of the night indicated 100% of the students were over the moon with the information received and were keen to enter into vivasa facilitated mentoring arrangements with one or more of the mentors present on the night.

The first Speed Mentoring event focussed on industry areas of Banking and Finance, IT, animation and design. Future Speed Mentoring events are currently being planned. Fast Match is expanding

As we launch into 2008/09, big things are happening in the Fast Match world. Events are filling up more quickly, and the pressure is on from our members to hold more events more often. So we are now expanding to more centres (like Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Geelong, Townsville, Fremantle and Canberra) and providing a wider variety of events, not just speed dating.
